The Importance of Our Membership in AsBAA

February 18, 2025

At Academy 147, we take pride in being part of a global network that drives progress and innovation in business and general aviation. As a member of the Asian Business Aviation Association (AsBAA), we are actively involved in an organization dedicated to advancing aviation in Asia and beyond.

What Is AsBAA?

AsBAA is a non-profit association representing business and general aviation entities across Asia and internationally. Its diverse membership includes major operators, aircraft manufacturers, aviation service providers, finance and insurance providers, and professionals committed to the growth of business aviation.

Through AsBAA, members receive support in overcoming operational challenges while also contributing to the broader development of the industry. The association provides a platform for communication and action on key issues such as airport access, regulatory policies, safety, professional development, and public awareness—all of which are crucial for the sustained growth of business aviation.

Why Our Membership Matters

For Academy 147, being part of AsBAA aligns with our mission to provide world-class aviation maintenance training and support the industry’s ongoing evolution. Here’s why our involvement is essential:

AsBAA plays a crucial role in advocating for policies that support business aviation, ensuring that members like Academy 147 have a voice in key regulatory discussions. The association also promotes high safety standards, aligning with our training philosophy to equip maintenance personnel with the latest skills. Additionally, AsBAA fosters professional development by creating opportunities for upskilling, reinforcing our role in providing specialized aviation maintenance training. Through its events, including the Icons of Aviation Awards, AsBAA facilitates meaningful industry networking, allowing us to engage with peers, build partnerships, and stay informed about developments in business aviation.

Celebrating Industry Excellence at the Icons of Aviation Awards

In 2024 we participated in the AsBAA Icons of Aviation Awards in Macau, an event that recognizes individuals and organizations that have made outstanding contributions to the industry. It was an honor to celebrate the achievements of aviation professionals dedicated to innovation and excellence.

These awards not only highlight the remarkable progress within the industry but also serve as a reminder of the collective effort required to drive aviation forward. We extend our gratitude to all AsBAA members who participated in the voting process and continue to support the association’s mission.

Looking Ahead in 2025

Academy 147 remains committed to working alongside AsBAA and its members to support the growth of business aviation in Asia. Through collaboration, advocacy, and training excellence, we contribute to strengthening the industry’s foundation for future generations.
