The global aviation industry is facing a serious shortage of maintenance technicians and Asia is experiencing the most acute demand. According to the latest Boeing “2025 Pilot and Technician Outlook,” ¹ the industry will require 710,000 new maintenance technicians globally by 2044.
Given Asia-Pacific’s rapid fleet growth and increasing air travel, the region is expected to absorb a large share of this demand. The expanding commercial fleet, alongside rising utilization and maintenance needs, is driving this shift.²
