Citation maintenance training capacity in the United States has expanded significantly as Academy Aviation Maintenance Training (AAMT), part of Academy Aviation Group, doubles the training space and facility footprint at its U.S. headquarters in Melbourne, Florida.
The expansion increases technical training capacity while supporting AAMT’s growing portfolio of aircraft-specific maintenance and avionics programs across the Americas.
Alongside the facility expansion, AAMT is launching six new technical courses for two Cessna Citation platforms: the Citation Longitude CE700 and Citation X/X+ CE-750/750+.
The company will present its expanded capabilities at NBAA-BACE 2026 in Las Vegas, October 20–22, where AAMT will exhibit at booth 1919.
Expanded Citation Maintenance Training Capacity in Florida
The expanded Melbourne facility provides additional classroom capacity for increased technician throughput, concurrent fleet courses, and dedicated practical and avionics training aids.
It also supports AAMT’s continued development of aircraft maintenance training for maintenance teams serving Part 91 and Part 135 operators and Part 145 repair stations.
The additional space allows AAMT to increase delivery of aircraft-specific technical programs while providing customers with greater flexibility in how and where training takes place.
AAMT delivers training from its centres, online and directly at customer locations, giving operators and maintenance organisations several options for developing fleet-specific technical capability.
Six new Citation technical courses available
AAMT is formally introducing six new Citation maintenance training courses covering the Citation Longitude and Citation X/X+ platforms.
The courses are available for immediate delivery in-centre, online or at customer locations:
- Cessna Citation Longitude CE700 Maintenance Initial (AC-MI-T-210)
- Cessna Citation Longitude CE700 Line Maintenance (AC-LM-T-210)
- Cessna Citation Longitude CE700 Avionics Initial (AC-AI-T-210)
- Cessna Citation X/X+ CE-750/750+ Maintenance Initial (AC-MI-T-192)
- Cessna Citation X/X+ CE-750/750+ Line Maintenance (AC-LM-T-192)
- Cessna Citation X/X+ CE-750/750+ Avionics Initial (AC-AI-T-192)
The new programs expand AAMT’s Maintenance Initial, Line Maintenance and Avionics Initial curriculum.
They are designed to provide operators and maintenance organisations with greater flexibility when building aircraft-specific technical capability.
For organisations operating CE700 aircraft, the new programs also expand AAMT’s Citation Longitude training offering across maintenance and avionics disciplines.
For Citation X and X+ operators, the additional Citation X/X+ training options provide aircraft-specific instruction for technicians supporting CE-750 and CE-750+ fleets.
AAMT’s broader FAA-compliant course portfolio is available through its FAA-compliant maintenance training courses.
Aircraft Maintenance Training Delivered at Customer Locations
AAMT is placing particular emphasis on customer on-site and mobile aviation maintenance training, allowing groups of technicians to receive aircraft-specific instruction closer to their aircraft and maintenance operations.
The approach can reduce technician travel requirements and help organisations maintain day-to-day maintenance coverage while continuing to invest in workforce development.

Citation Maintenance Training Forms Part of AAMT’s 2026 Expansion
The Melbourne facility expansion and new Citation maintenance training programs form part of a broader technical training roadmap for the remainder of 2026.
AAMT plans to introduce additional type-specific airframe, avionics and regulatory compliance courses while expanding rapid-deployment on-site and mobile training options for customers with operational or scheduling constraints.
The company will also use NBAA-BACE to preview a new commercial approach to technical training: Training as a Subscription (TaaS).
The developing model is designed to give operators and maintenance organisations a more predictable way to plan and budget recurring technical training.
Rather than purchasing each course as an isolated event, training capacity can be structured around longer-term workforce and fleet requirements.
