Academy 147 Unveils its Latest Training Format

October 21, 2021

Since the earliest days of the pandemic, Academy 147 has made great strides in providing alternative ways of delivering the theoretical element of our aircraft maintenance courses to our successful conventional face-to-face format. Our company was quick to adapt, and our trainers have had extensive training to deliver effective and interactive synchronous online sessions. Most takers of this new format commented on how smooth the course was, with many of them saying that they had never expected such professional delivery from an online course. There are many benefits to performing the theoretical element online such as offering students the opportunity to train simultaneously from multiple locations at more attractive costs, just to name a few. Students later meet up for practical training in the tradition face-to-face format, with hands on training being done on the actual aircraft.

Looking for new opportunities is in Academy 147’s DNA, and albeit, we have also been working on offering another format of training that will add to our extensive portfolio of training courses. To this end, a lot of video production, voice-overs, interactive graphics, and animation, is going into producing a state-of-the-art asynchronous online training solution, where the participants can follow a course at their own pace, schedule, and preferred geographic location.

This asynchronous online training aims to supplement our Part-147 approved training, offering self-interaction with support from our trainers and is also designed to fit in perfectly in all hybrid formats. As we go along, we keep testing and seeking ways to improve this alternative material, offering training which covers specialised courses, such as certain task-based training (How to open the main door, baggage door, how to start an APU, cold cockpit starts, system familiarization etc…)

Our self-directed, asynchronous training courses will be offered as a custom service where clients can have Academy 147 tailor the training modules to their company needs and develop custom LMS (Learning Management Systems) that offer aviation companies a turnkey solution to their in-house training. Rather than offering, ready-made, self-directed (asynchronous) courses, Academy 147 will be offering this as a custom service and can act as an external arm of your training department to build specialized online training courses on a variety of aircraft and topics.

We believe that these innovative formats together with Academy 147’s Part-147 type training provides an overall, well-rounded training solution to an MRO or aviation company. We look forward to cultivating that unbridled passion that aircraft maintenance staff all around the globe possess.
