Academy 147 has been offering training to the North American market since 2018.
In 2018, we initially set up our North American training unit and got our training formally accepted by the FAA. Demand has been steadily growing during the past 3 years with new aircraft platforms being covered and courses being delivered to a number of operators, MRO technicians and other personnel working in the aviation industry.
Academy 147 aims to provide a high level of specialized and tailor-made training solutions that cater for the fast paced, Business Aviation industry.
Amongst Academy 147’s key differentiating factors are flexibility with scheduling and giving that personal touch to each and every customer to ensure that that training is delivered to the highest standards.
According to Regional Manager Henry Schofield “We listen to our customers and develop training solutions that the market needs. Our North American training unit has seen a consistent rise in demand for both classroom-based courses as well as virtual and other distance learning solutions. We have staff based in Florida, Georgia, Kansas and California and I’m receiving positive feedback from customers. We plan to continue to expand in this market and I see a busy year for 2022.”
Virtual Training has become a widely requested option and it gives us the flexibility to train students from multiple states/locations at the same time. This presents companies with cost saving opportunities. Each of our students receives a tablet loaded with the course content, which is theirs to keep after the training.
As for classroom training courses, we certainly haven’t fallen off the map and have no intention of doing so. We value the human interaction. We acknowledge that many customers still prefer face-to-face training as it works better in some cases, especially when aircraft visits can be conducted and integrated into the training.
In 2022, the company plans to dive deeper into North America with new Cessna and Pilatus courses as well as geographic expansion into Central and South America, from where we keep experiencing an increase in training requests.
